12th International Mycological Congress (IMC12)

The 12th International Mycological Congress (IMC12) will be organized in Amsterdam, The Netherlands July 25-29, 2022.

The last time this event was held in Europe was IMC9, Edinburgh, Scotland, in 2010, which was a great success.

Although 2022 seems far away, we are already working on the various aspects of the program. Six themes have been identified, namely

Theme 1: Cell biology, biochemistry and physiology;
Theme 2: Environment, ecology and interactions;
Theme 3: Evolution, biodiversity and systematics;
Theme 4: Fungal pathogenesis and disease control;
Theme 5: Genomics, genetics and molecular biology;
Theme 6: Applied Mycology; and
Theme 7: Nomenclature.

Each theme has three international chairs that will help us to develop the program [see below] together with an International Advisory Board, and input from the global mycologists’ community. Looking forward to see you all in Amsterdam in the not so far away future.
